DEMUSIS project was presented on the 2019 Annual Meeting for International Relations Coordinators (IRCs) which took place at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (Czech Republic) from 19th to 22nd September under the title "The Pink Elephant: Reflections on the Future to Transform the Present", in the framework of the AEC-Strengthening Music in Society (SMS) Project supported by the Creative Europe Programme. The project presentation by Dušanka Jelenković Vidović, project administrator and international relations coordinator at the Faculty of Music, University of Arts in Belgrade, on Sunday September 22nd was followed by a fruitful Q&A session moderated by Payam Gul Susanni, SMS WG3 on Entrepreneurship at AEC.
In a pleasant and friendly atmosphere, DEMUSIS’ objectives, target groups, partners, the ways in which the project is meeting institutional, national and EU priorities, as well as details on curricula development, particularly its preparation phase, along with modernized and new courses, and the new master study program to be implemented during the course of the project, were addressed. As this year IRCs Meeting “presented itself with the provocative title The Pink Elephant to trigger a discussion about all constraints, contradictions, unsaid and unknowns that make the work of the IRCs more and more complex and multifaceted”, the presentation of DEMUSIS project also included an account of its own ‘pink elephants’ which led to lively exchange of experience and ideas.
